The Fraunhofer Institutes are known for their cutting-edge research facilities, and some specialize in testing materials for various conditions. One area of expertise is ice repellency. They possess sophisticated equipment and methodologies to assess how effectively a material repels ice accumulation.
After the latest (over this winter) re-formulation of NEINICE, not only have we eliminated hazardous materials, but also increased the ice-phobicity by 100% after the latest tests done at Fraunhofer facilities.
This is a huge achievement for Phazebreak Coatings and also for the wind industry in general. We are looking towards the upcoming maintenance season and keep working towards more efficient wind operations during winter months.
